So, I was born in the late 60's and growing up you know you had the televisions with very few stations to watch, we had channels 3-6-10-12- 17-29 and 48 thats it, no cable and most importantly no remote controls and if your channel turning handle broke you would have to turn the channel with pliers! (lol!) Weekday mornings early you might see a cartoon before you left for school, when you arrived home from school we would watch Mr. Rogers, Sesame Street, Electric Company, Ultraman, Space Giants, Speed Racer and Kimba and others and Saturday, mmh mmh mmh Saturday Morning Cartoons that was the day, we looked forward to that! After watching cartoons all morning, come afternoon was Dr. Shock Chiller Thriller Theatre and then Kung Fu Theatre.
Fact - They would play the "Star Spangled Banner" every night and then the television stations would go off at 12:00a.m. I believe on Saturday nights that they would play the Saturday Night late show and that would go off at 1:00a.m. on Saturdays. Anyway a little something for your view pleasure to take you back in time even if only for a few minutes. Enjoy!!!
